How do I purchase an NFT on the Secondary Marketplace?

In this article we will be going through how to purchase an NFT on the secondary marketplace.

For the purposes of this support article, please note that all images provided below are used for demonstration purposes only. 

Let's begin:

Before we get started, let's summarize key important details as you purchase and move forward to future events on Nifty's

• You're able to purchase with either a credit/debit card with our purchasing partner Moonpay. Or, you can use DAI located in either your MetaMask or Nifty's wallet.
• As of June 2022, Niftys has integrated with MoonPay to allow users to purchase NFTs using fiat on the secondary market. For more details on MoonPay click here.
• It's recommended you move forward with purchasing using a credit/debit card, but should you choose to purchase with DAI -  you can either purchase DAI from our payment partner Wyre (note the appropriate restrictions here) or you can purchase DAI from an external source and bridge the DAI from Ethereum mainnet to the Palm Network. Additional details about that process are here.
  
  

Purchase your NFT: 

You'll be able to access the market on the specific NFT you're interested in by clicking on the NFT itself where the market information will be located on the right-hand side.

• You'll then have the option to either BUY IT NOW or make an OFFER.

Make an Offer:

• If you place an offer it will prompt you make an offer price and how many days your offer is valid for before it expires.

• To finish creating your offer, check the Terms of Service box and click the Create Offer button. Once you've completed your offer it will appear alongside the other offers.

• Please note that the NFT holder has to accept your offer in order for you to purchase it and appear in your collection.

Buy it Now:

• If you don't want to wait for your offer to be accepted you can choose the Buy it Now option.

   

• When you select the Buy it Now option the following screen appears:

Make sure that you choose the right wallet where you want your NFT to live in and that you have enough DAI to purchase it as well.

• • If you don't have enough DAI you can either add funds with a credit or debit car or transfer DAI. If you need additional help with DAI click here.

• Once you make sure you have enough DAI and selected the right wallet, check the Terms of Service box, followed by Buy with Credit of Debit.

Review NFT Details: 

• Ahead of finalizing your purchase the below screen appears and shows details such as the contract name and cost break down. 

• • After selecting Continue another screen will appear confirming which wallet you are using. If you would like to switch wallets you will need to click out of the modal and go to the top right of the page to switch.

MoonPay KYC:

After Reviewing the details of your NFT, comes MoonPay's KYC (Know Your Customer) process. MoonPay will ask for Name, Date of Birth, and Address. 

• The first step of the KYC process is email verification. Type in your email in the below input box and an email verification code will be emailed to you. The subject line will read "Nifty's Via MoonPay".

• The process continues with collecting basic details. Fill out all fields in the screen below and the selecting Continue.

• The final step in the KYC process is collecting your address and then selecting Continue.

KYC Verification:

• You will see the below screen during the verification process. This can take up to 60 seconds. Please be patient. 

• Once the verification process clears you will see the below screen. This screen will automatically flip to the check out pages. Please be patient and do not click out of this modal. 

Check Out:

•  Just about done here. After the KYC verification The check out screens will appear. The first piece of information required is your billing address. 
  
  • You will see the below screen. You have the option to "use the address I have on file" or populate the input boxes. Once filled out select Continue

• The next screen requires Credit or Debit Card details. Populate the input boxes and select Continue. 

Confirm your Order:

• The next screen that will appear will be a confirmation screen. Please review all purchase details before purchasing and double check credit card, wallet address and NFT. When all details look correct check the Terms and Conditions and select Buy now.

Processing Transaction

• This can take up to 60 seconds. Please be patient while the payment its processing. Once the payment is complete you will see the below screen and receive an email with the subject line "Your NFT is on its way (USD #)".

Completed Purchase:

• You will be able to view your NFT in the Community page or the "Collected" Tab on your profile page.
