Each Matrix Avatar is given a set of attributes, these attributes determine your avatar's rarity. But what exactly do these attributes mean? In this article, we'll discuss the breakdown of the attributes, what is included as part of the First Mission of Red Pill/Blue Pill, and where things go from here!

Base Avatar: Visual Attributes
Before we get into the specifics of Red Pill/Blue Pill attributes, it's important to note that your Base Avatar (the avatar before deciding if you want to participate in missions) has only a set of visual attributes dependent upon each individual avatar.
These attributes are:
Background
Hair Color
Top
Bottom
Footwear
Accessories
Red Pill / Blue Pill Visual and Non-Visual Attributes
Starting on January 5th, you will have the decision to take the blue pill and stay in the Matrix, or take the red pill and venture down the rabbit hole.
What does this mission mean to your avatar?
If you choose to give your avatar a blue pill, all visual attributes including clothing, facial features, hair and accessories will remain the same. The only visual element that will change is your NFTs background, of which there are three possible Digital Rain options.
If you choose to give your avatar the red pill, only a few attributes of your NFT will remain the same (this includes skin tone, gender and body type). Your avatar’s clothing and accessories will change, while other attributes such as facial hair, hair color, haircut and facial expression may or may not evolve based on our randomized sections. Similarly to blue pill avatars, red pill avatars will also be given one of three different Digital Rain backgrounds.
It is important to note, transitioning from a base avatar to red pill avatar is essentially a “re-roll” for attributes. Any rare attribute you have in the base avatar state will likely be lost when selecting red pill.
Introducing Non-Visual Attributes
Giving an avatar either pill will also introduce the non-visual attributes of your avatar such as credit score, charisma, social following and salary on the blue pill side, and power, dexterity, awareness and persuasion on the red pill side of things.
